Don’t buy into the seduction of false religion (the Hebrew roots movement/dispensationalism).

False religion which says that you need a perspective of rabbinic Judaism (or embrace elements of rabbinic Judaism) to better understand, better follow Jesus Christ.
That’s a spiritual trap of false religion that will actually damage your understanding of Christ and Christian discipleship.
As Paul confronted this issue many times in his letters, teaching people how law/Judaism doesn’t mix with Grace, (neither for justification, nor as a rule for one’s walk).
The book of Galatians (as one example) majors on this very warning.

Galatians 1

13 “For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:

14 And profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.

15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,

16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

17 Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.”

It also helps to bear in mind that Jesus is eternal, He infinitely precedes the Jew’s religion that He encountered. Their religion was a microscopic spec in the scope of Jesus’ eternal life.

It has been stated:
if you don’t know the customs and traditions of the Jewish religion you have no idea who Jesus was!

According to that type of thinking, then most of the world has no idea who Jesus “was”
(What utter nonsense).

Did it occur to such thinkers that the devotees of “the customs and traditions of the Jewish religion” (AKA the antichrist religion of rabbinic Judaism) are the very people who encountered Jesus face to face…and even with that kind of access to Him…they still didn’t know Who Jesus is (was)?!

So with that sort of documented history established of their spiritual blindness, why would anyone still allow advocates of rabbinic Judaism to convince them that they have a better understanding of who Jesus is?

Remember, it was followers of rabbinic Judaism who insisted that pilate kill Jesus.

Jesus rightly said of such people…“Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.”

So I say to anyone reading this…

Beware of “dispensationalism,” and beware of the Hebrew roots movement; remember the warnings of Galatianism.
Such devotees would have you moved away from the simplicity that is in the gospel of Christ.
They would have you moved away from resting in the finished work of Christ, a finished work on behalf of the true Israel of God.

The way to not be seduced into vain worship is to first understand exactly what Jesus accomplished, and who He accomplished it for.

Understand that, and false religion will always be apparent.

All glory to the risen Lord Jesus Christ, and no glory to us whatsoever!
