The modern Pharisee’s message of salvation

It’s true that it’s a false teaching to require someone to turn from all of their sins to be saved.
But most of the representatives of false religion that I’ve encountered don’t teach such a stringent requirement.
[In fact I don’t recall ever encountering someone who taught that you have to repent of ALL your sins to be saved].

Just like the self-righteous Pharisees of Jesus’ day who whittled down the actual impossible demands of the law…Modern self-righteous Pharisees do the same thing in whittling down God’s standard of righteousness perfection. (Which God requires, and can never be attained to by our unregenerate human flesh, saved or not).

The modern Pharisee puts this yoke on you to be saved…

“You don’t have to completely stop sinning or achieve sinless perfection or anything like that, just do the best that you can.”

To which my reply is…

No thanks, I’ll take free righteousness by the obedience of one over my pathetic & imagined morality any day.

Romans 5.17-19

17 “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.”
