This should be a gif animation that rotates images of many politicians that people fret over. Scripture teaches that God places authorities in power and the Christians shouldn’t entangle themselves with secular power dynamics, since we already are part of the ultimate power possible, the Kingdom of Christ Jesus our Lord. Who can match the madness of Nero, yet Paul appealed to his office twice. Who commited greater murder and washed his hands than Pontius Pilate. Yet Peter and Paul say honor them all, since God has made them lord over the unbelievers, but your Lord is the Christ, the Alpha and Omega.
I love reading your comments Vladimir, and this one is another gem.
However I differ with you on who committed the greater murder, (Paul or Pilate)?
Pontius Pilate gave the order to kill God.
[Although the Jews were more guilty than Pilot (I believe) for having Jesus killed], because they had the greater witness of Who He was than Pilot had.
So it’s impossible to my way of thinking that someone could be a greater murderer who killed Christians…than someone who (temporarily, because God allowed him to do it) killed God.
I agree with you 100%, bad choice of words on my part. I meant him as worst murderer in context of secular power. The jews were the representatives of religious power. By no accident these two did what they did together.
And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
(Col. 2:15)
