Good mornin to you my friend.

Have you ever heard the false gospel which says that you have to repent “of your sins” to be saved? (Surely you have, because nearly all of religion teaches that damning-heresy).

Therefore consider this please…

Turning away from sin is always the good & right action for every Christian to do as we walk by the Spirit. (Of course God always leads His children to turn away from sin).

But for an unwashed sinner to bring their efforts at behavior improvement (repentance of their sins) as a component of their justification before God, is to pursue an accursed methodology for salvation. It’s the equivalent of an unjustified, guilty sinner bringing their works of the law (instead of the blood of Jesus Christ) to be justified before God.
(It’s the same ancient damning sin of Cain).

1 John 3.4
“Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.”

Since sin is the transgression of the law, then turning from sin is obedience to the law. In simple terms, turning from sin is to obey the law in it’s many commands of “Thou shalt” & “Thou shalt not”
Which of course none of us can comply to perfectly (as God requires).
But God has provided one way that we can comply to the law perfectly, (and that’s for us to receive Jesus’ perfect compliance to the law in our stead).

So meditate on what God is telling you in the following scripture, and be wise the next time you hear some proud, convincing religious salesman trample the blood of the covenant underfoot when he tells you that you have to repent of your sins (keep the law) to be saved.

Don’t go the way of Cain and be damned for bringing your filthy works to God.
Be like Abel, and bring the perfect blood of the Lamb of God as your sacrifice to be accepted by Him.

Galatians 3:10
“For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.”

1 Timothy 1
8 “But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;

9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers…”

Galatians 2:16
“Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.”

Revelation 1

5 “And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”

All glory to the risen Lord Jesus Christ, and no glory to us whatsoever!
