Jesus is my love, repentance, videos
There’s no need to be confused about repentance

In my early Christian days I felt like God split me in two. I could see the wickedness of my thoughts, let alone actions. I thought I was a good person all my life! I thought I was a victim of the world, I deserved better. But when the Spirit opened my eyes all I could find in me was evil, except the very bare existential me that observes as if from the side. It’s weird to explain it. My will was in bondage to sin. Paul certainly tried explaining, but one needs to experience it. You can’t stop, the harder you try, worse it gets. I’ve screamed my own versions of “O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?”
The problem was that I didn’t look to Christ, but at the ‘church’, all the pieus amazing Christians that know theology, pray amazing prayers, are so spiritual, gifted, talk to God all the time, everything I wasn’t. I looked for the infused righteousness and found none. I waited for progressive sanctification and progressed none. Every good deed was defiled. There was no good in me.
But then the gospel came and Christ liberated me. No good in me but Christ.
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
(Ro. 7:25)
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
(Ro. 8:1-4)

Thank you and every blessing to you in our risen Lord, my beloved fellow saint of God!
After giving some thought, no one has ever addressed me like that. People shy of it as if it’s something we merrit, so we better have the “aw-shucks, not really” false humility attitude. Paul and Peter did it constantly. Christ has perfected us once and for all times! Jesus Christ alone accomplished it. All glory to God, hallelujah!
