Good mornin to you.
Do you think that there’s no meaningful difference in doctrine in the text of the modern bible versions Vs the king James Bible (or its non-English equivalent)? Think again.
(I’ve used the popular ESV as the modern-version sampling for this comparison (but another modern version would do).
The modern, Westcott & Hort derivatives (all modern versions) teach another gospel, a damning false gospel of works salvation, (salvation as a process). While the Authorized Version teaches salvation (righteousness and sanctification), as the completed work of Christ.
Here’s concrete proof that THEY TEACH ENTIRELY DIFFERENT WAYS OF SALVATION. Notice what’s being communicated to the reader by their wording:
(ESV) “And the disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said to them again, “Children, how difficult it is to enter the kingdom of God!”
(KJV) “And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!”
1 Corinthians 15.2:
(ESV) “and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.”
(KJV) “By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.”
(ESV) “For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.”
(KJV) “For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.”
Well there you have it, the proof that I was talking about.
Please let me know if I can help you with anything else, and I’ll gratefully do whatever I can by the power & guidance of God.
Take God’s word seriously, because He takes it seriously. He has magnified it above His Name.
“The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.”
“I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.”
The Authorized Verizon, the king James Bible teaches salvation as a completed work by the obedience of one. Whereas the tainted Westcott & Hort versions (all of the modern versions) teach salvation as a process, salvation by your filthy works of righteousness.
The KJV and the modern versions DO NOT teach basically the same message.
Any KJV Bible believer will tell you that he knows that he’s holding the perfect, preserved word of God, whereas the modern version user will not say that. The modern version user will use whichever version he or she likes at a given moment, questioning what God has said, making themselves the judge over what God has said about something. While the KJV Bible believer submits to whatever God has said in the KJV Bible.
You can and should believe that the king James Bible (or its non-English equivalent) is God’s perfect, preserved word, because it is.
All glory to the risen Lord Jesus Christ, and no glory to us whatsoever!
