Good morning to you my friend.
This morning I was reading a man’s post on WordPress who made some very interesting points about the 4 men who persecuted Jesus, (associated with His crucifixion).
It was so interesting that I was going to repost his article, that is until I saw his patreon monetization of his exclusive content.
Which disgusted me.
Needless to say, I won’t be promoting any of his work on any of the 3 sites that I operate on, (WordPress, Facebook, & YouTube).
There are few sins more disgusting to me than seeing people use Christianity as a platform to either promote themselves, (these types of narcissists are into titles: “reverend ___” “pastor ___” bishop ___), or seeing religious crooks financially profit from their position, (selling what they know).
Listen to me, you will NEVER find me monetizing any of my sites.
That’s because God has given me a healthy fear of Him, & I treasure the privilege of being a vessel for His service. I share what I share because I love sharing what God has taught me, it’s thrilling.
[Incidentally, you’re not under the tithe. But to stay on point here, I’ll save that topic for a different post where I can explain that matter in detail].
By God’s indwelling Spirit and power, I’m not a hireling, (a religious whore). And I give all credit and glory to the risen Lord Jesus Christ for His power in my heart, and no credit goes to me whatsoever.
I am NOT good.
The only good that’s associated with me is the life of God that dwells within me.
I love how Paul expresses this in Galatians 2.20:
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
So I’m now going to conclude this post with scripture which pertains to how a man-of-God should view making merchandise of the gospel:
1 Corinthians 9.12-18
12 “If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.
13 Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?
14 Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.
15 But I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for it were better for me to die, than that any man should make my glorying void.
16 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!
17 For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.
18 What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.”
