13. “Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
1414. And when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand:
1515. There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.
1616. If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
1717. And when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.
1818. And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;
1919. Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?
2020. And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
2121. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
2222. Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
2323. All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.” Mark 7.13-23
“(To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD.) The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.
2For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.
3The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.
4He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.” Psalm 36.1-4
“ALEPH. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.
2Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.
3They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.
4Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently.
5O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!
6Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.
7I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.
8I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly.
9BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
10With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
11Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
12Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.
13With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
14I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.
15I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.
16I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.” Psalm 119.1-16
