How to get saved, and be permanently perfect before God.

The gospel really is great news! Yes, Jesus loves you exactly as you are! You don’t have to try to clean up your life, or repent of your sins to get saved. That is works righteousness, (which is false religion’s plan of salvation that saves nobody). My friend, it’s vital that you understand that.

Our only participation in salvation is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour. When we do, we are immediately fully cleansed of all sin & guilt (past, present & future), and the sanctification & righteousness of Christ is fully imputed to us. See Colossians 2.13, Hebrews 10.12, 1 Corinthians 1.30-31, Hebrews 10.10 & 10.14, Romans 3.22 & 2 Corinthians 5.21.

So how does one receive salvation and permanent perfection before God?

Rest in Christ’s finished work; It really is that easy and simple. Jesus did it all for you; your part is to believe it’s so.

To the unsaved, this is how it works:

1.Believe: That you are an unrighteous sinner, bankrupt of any personal merit.

2. Believe: That the Lord Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, is God incarnate, and lived a sinless life to be punished as the perfect sacrifice for your sins by His blood & death on the cross.

3. Believe: That He was buried, and resurrected to life from death three days later for your justification

You were crucified with Christ, (Galatians 2.20). And His resurrection to life is your resurrection to life; you are risen with Him, (Colossians 3.1). And the Lord Jesus Christ’s resurrection is the basis for your eternal life and righteousness. (Sin forgiveness alone isn’t salvation).

4. Now confess what you believe: You are a sinner, Jesus Christ is Lord, and you have placed your faith solely in His death, burial, and resurrection as the completed work for your salvation. (Reference Luke 5.32, Romans 10.9-13, 1 Corinthians 15.1-4).

You now begin your amazing journey in eternal life. Talk with your Father often. He loves you, and He cares about your concerns in even in the smallest of matters of life. And no matter how much you mess up, His love for you never diminishes, and He’ll never leave or forsake you. He’ll lovingly guide you in your thinking about all matters of life from this point forward.

Now go get baptized; this is your duty now as a Christian. It’s not only your public identification in His death, burial, and resurrection, but it’s also a celebration of your new life in Christ.

Great news ain’t it? Why carry your guilt and shame one second longer?
