I just want to encourage the believer to remember that the voice of God is distinctly different than the voice of the accuser of the holy brethren.
The voice of God tells you that He loves you, and to look to what Jesus has done for you. His guidance in your life has a patient, and gentle prompting. Yes He reproves the world of their sin, (John 16.8). But even in that scenario, He still points to the finished work of Christ as the remedy.
Your consciousness should be fixated on the fact that you are the righteousness of God, (irrespective of your failings in the flesh). He will chasten you as He needs to. But it will always be done in love, with no condemning attitude whatsoever.
Look: “Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference” Romans 3.22,
“For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.” Hebrews 10.2
When you get this truth anchored into your soul, no amount of religious pride & accusations can have any effect on you.
Lastly, discerning supernatural voices and messages.
“But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me” John 15.26
“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shew it unto you.” John 16.13,14.
The Holy Ghost doesn’t point to Himself, (or to people). He points to Jesus alone.
Is what you’re hearing that claims to be from the supernatural…all about the Lord Jesus Christ, and His finished work? If it isn’t, then you’re dealing with a false message.
Rest in the Lord Jesus Christ’s finished work my friend. You will hear your Father’s voice, and you will have peace that surpasses all understanding.
Grace and peace to you.
